A benefit event for the Friends of the Salina Animal ShelterWhat is the Furry Friends Photo Session?
Furry Friends photo sessions are mini sessions lasting up to 30 minutes. This is a yearly event that Forever Memories hosts, giving families the opportunity to come get their photos taken with their beloved pets! The event is to benefit the Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter, an all volunteer group dedicated to helping the Salina Kansas Animal Shelter by brightening the lives of the many pets they care for daily with the hopes of finding them new forever homes!
For this event we waive the typical photo session fee ($50 savings), but we do ask for a minimum $50 donation to be made to the Friends of the Animal Shelter. Along with your donation you will receive a free 8×10 print and the corresponding social media digital file! After your session we will schedule a time to choose your free print as well as give you the opportunity to see all your session images and order any addition prints or digital files.
Who are the Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter
Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter is a non-profit working to help the community by providing assistance to the local animal shelter and resources for those that need help caring for their pets. Their stated mission:
“Our primary mission is to support the adoption efforts of the Salina Animal Shelter and to enhance the lives of companion animals in our community. We are an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization, created to assist the shelter’s staff with our time, labor, and interest in re-homing abandoned and stray animals. We work to help reduce animal overpopulation by promoting spay and neuter efforts in the community.
Recent additions to our efforts include assisting low income families by assisting, when we can, with emergency medical expenses, spay and neuter expenses, and pet food. All of which are covered by donation and only available when we have the funds to assist.
Our goal is to ensure healthy, safe, and life-long relationships between community members and their companion animals.”
